In 2007, Potsdam's tram system consist of 7 routes numbered 91-94, 96, 99 & X98. The trams
run on standard gauge tracks. 16 Combino 5-section articulated trams were ordered from Siemens in 1996 and the first 4 entered service in late 1998. There are 6 axles in 3 trucks with the leading and trailing pairs of axles powered with 100 kW motors for a total rating of 400 kW, 536 hp and a top speed of 70 km/h, 44 mph.. These units seat 69 with standing room for another 107. 416 was built in 2001. Combino tram number 416 with a northbound 93 at the Sporthalle on Wednesday April 18th, 2007. |
