Chemnitz has 7 standard gauge lines numbered 1,2,4,5,6,11 & 12 and
operates a fleet of Tatra modernized T3D and Bombardier low floor
Variobahn trams. 607 is a Bombardier 6NGT-LDE type 5-section low floor tram built in Bautzen in 1999. It has 6 axles arranged Bo-2-Bo and is powered by 8 40 kW motors for a total rating of 320 kW, 429 hp. Driving controls at one end only and thus doors on one side only. Chemnitz single ended tram 607 departs from the Hauptbahnhof stop on line 1 on Monday April 24th, 2006. Double-ended 905 waits to follow and loads passengers from its left hand doors. |
