Berlin is a standard gauge system and in 2007 there were 9 MetroTram
routes (M1 to M17) & 22 tram routes numbered 12 to 68. 5187 is a 1989 built ČKD T6A2 (serial number 178515) modernized in 1994 by MGB and renumbered from 8187. Between 1988 & 1992 it was numbered 218 187-4. It is a 4-axle conventional tram powered by 4 45kW motors for a total rating of 180 kW, 241 hp and seats 27 passengers.
