Katowice is the centre for an extensive system of standard gauge tram lines running between various communities in the Silesia Basin. The 30 tram lines are electrified at 600 volts. It is part of the Municipal Transport Union of the Upper Silesian Industrial District [KZK GOP].

Tram 375 is a Konstal 105N built in July 1975. It is a 4-axle vehicle powered by 4 motors each rated at 41.5 kW for a total rating of 166 kW, 223 hp and has a top speed of 70 km/h, 43 mph.
