There are 3 class 4090 760mm gauge electric motor units built in 1994 and
all entered service in 1995. The formation seems flexible with 3 and
4-car units using sometimes a 6090 control car or a 4090 power unit, 7060
intermediate trailer(s) and a 4090 power unit. The trains are all 2nd
class seating. The units run on 6500 volts and are rated at 280 kW, 375
hp with a top speed of 70 km/h, 43 mph. 4090 002-9 was built by SGP in Wien (serial number 87964) with electrics by Elin and entered service in May 1995. 4090 002-9 at St Pölten Alpenbahnhof with train R6813 (12:25 St Pölten Hbf to Laubenbachmühle) on Monday May 3rd, 2004. |
