659 was built by Schindler in April 1990 as a 6-axle 2-section articulated tram. Between February and April 1999 it had a low floor centre section added. This centre section rides on single axles at each end resulting in a wheel arrangement of B-1-1-B. It is rated at 304 kW, 408 hp with a top speed of 60 km/h, 36 mph
