Miskolc retains 2 tram lines from a previously larger system. Both lines 1
& 2 share the route from the city centre to the station. The lines are standard gauge. Approximately a year after these photos were taken, Miskolc retired all of their FVV
(Bengali) trams leaving the service in the hands of second-hand Tatra
KT8D5 trams from Kosice (SK) & Most (CZ) and some late 1960s built
ex-Vienna class E1s.
206 is a Czech built Tatra KT8D5CS 8-axle 3-section articulated tram originally built for Kosice (SK) where it was numbered 520. It was acquired by Miskolc in October 1992. KT8D5CS 206 enters Baross Gábor út on Friday October 24th, 2003 while working on route 1. |
