Control station at József Körút

At the western end of lines 28 & 35 is a control station used by the drivers and staff. It was photographed on Sunday October 26th, 2003.

David Vitézy tells me
The controller of the manual signaling system of the terminus is sitting in that building and he is partly responsible for the traffic on routes 28 and 37. Only one of the two tracks in Nepszinhaz utca is connected to the Grand Boulevard lines 4 and 6, and this is the only way for the trams coming out from Hungária depot to lines 4 and 6. The task of the controller person is to guarantee the free way for the scheduled and non-schedules depot routes.
