Budapest has an extensive system of trams lines numbered between 1 and 69 with gaps due to line closings over the years.
The lines are standard gauge. UV3 cars
(3350-3474) were built by Ganz in Hungary between 1959 & 1961 as
single-ended cars riding on 2 4-wheel
trucks, they have seating for 22 and a top speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph. They are
powered by 4 electric motors having a combined rating of 148 kW, 198 hp and draw
600 volts from the overhead. Training unit 7662 was converted in December 1977 from a February 1960 built UV3 originally numbered 3402. Training car 7662 at Budafok depot on Friday April 30th, 2004. |
