Budapest Trams

Budapest has an extensive system of trams lines numbered between 1 and 69 with gaps due to line closings over the years.
The lines are standard gauge. CSMG.2 cars of
series 1300-70 were built by Ganz in Hungary between 1967 & 1971 as double-ended 8 axle articulated cars with seating for
32 and standing room for 171 and a top speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph. They are
powered by 4 electric motors having a combined rating of 264 kW, 354 hp and draw
600 volts from the overhead. 1322 was built in November 1969. 1322 passes 3750 at Könyves Kálmán körút while working 30A services in opposite directions. Photographed on Friday April 30th, 2004. |
