Magdeburg's tram system consist of 10 routes numbered 1-5, 5E, 6, 8-10. The trams
run on standard gauge tracks. Link to Magdeburg Network.. 1284 is one of a class of
12 Czech built CKD type T6A2 cars. 6 were first introduced in Magdeburg in 1989
followed soon by another 6 that were initially sent to Schwerin.
It is a 28 seater powered by 4 43 kW traction motors for a total rating of
172 kW, 230 hp and a top speed of 55 km/h, 34 mph. 1284 was originally delivered
to Schwerin where it was not suited to their needs and was soon transferred to
Magdeburg.
CKD T6A2 number 1284 on service 1 to Sudenburg in Magdeburg on Wednesday May 7th, 2003. It is turning into the Ernst-Reuter Alle. |
