Erfurt is a metre gauge system running on 600 volts. There are 7 routes
numbered 1-7 (all except number 2 serve the Hauptbahnhof) and 5 night
routes numbered N1-N5.
Tram 614 is a Düwag built MGT6 built in 1994 with 6 axles and 3 articulated sections. It is seen here exiting the railway over bridges just outside the Hauptbahnhof on service 5 to the Zoopark. The clearance is so tight here that the pantograph must be almost completely compressed to clear the bridges. Photographed on Friday, September 20th, 2002. |
