RHB operates trams/trains between Ludwigshafen-Oggenheim and Bad Dürkheim,
and uses the tram tracks between Oggersheim and Mannheim. The RHB along
with Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and OEG trams were consolidated under the
control of the NRV (Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH) in 2004. Track gauge is 1 metre. Tram 1031 was built by Düwag in 1994 and along with 1995 built 1032 is owned by VBL. It is a 7 section articulated tram of type ET8N with 8 axles in a formation of Bo-2-2-Bo with the even numbered sections being supported from the 4 odd numbered ones. 1031 seats 119 passengers and are rated at 380 kW, 509 hp. Top speed is 80 km/h, 50 mph RHB ET8N 1031 waits at Paradeplatz with MVV 703 on a line 6 service to Rheingönheim on Sunday morning April 25th, 2004. |
