Dresden 2826 at Albertplatz

Dresden's tram system has a track gauge of 1450mm (about ½ inch wider than standard gauge) with 12 lines. Dresden has 4 types of low floor trams in service and the NGTD12DD built by Bombardier are the newest. There are 12 axles arranged in 6 trucks located under these 5 part articulated trams. This single-ended unit provide seating for 107 passengers and standing room for another 153. It is powered by 8 85kW motors for a total rating of 680 kW, 912 hp and a top speed of 70 km/h, 43 mph. They are 45 metres (just over 147 ½ feet) long.
This tram was built by Bombardier and entered service in October 2004 officially numbered 232 824-1 (2824).
