Dresden's tram system has a track gauge of 1450mm (about ½ inch wider
than standard gauge) with 12 lines. Dresden has 3 types of low floor trams
in service and the NGT8DD built by Bombardier are second group to enter
service. There are 8 axles
arranged in 4 trucks located under 7 part articulated trams. This single-ended unit provide seating for
112 passengers
and standing room for another 144. It is powered by 6 95kW motors for a
