Dresden 2707 at Carolaplatz

Dresden's tram system has a track gauge of 1450mm (about ½ inch wider than standard gauge) with 12 lines. Dresden has 3 types of low floor trams in service and the NGT8DD built by Bombardier are second group to enter service. There are 8 axles arranged in 4 trucks located under 7 part articulated trams. This single-ended unit provide seating for 112 passengers and standing room for another 144. It is powered by 6 95kW motors for a total rating of 570 kW, 764 hp and a top speed of 70 km/h, 43 mph.
This tram was built by Bombardier and Siemens and entered service in August 2001 officially numbered 232 707-2 (2707).
