Brno tram system runs on standard gauge tracks and there are 13 routes
numbered between 1 & 13. All cars in service are Tatras or Škodas built by ČKD.
1709 is a 1990 built Tatra KT8D5 8-axle articulated tram. It is bi-directional and is one of the earlier versions with conventional high floors in all 3 sections. Top speed is 65 km/h, 40 mph. KT8D5 number 1705 on line 8 to Starý Liskovec pauses at the Krematorium stop on Sunday October 3rd, 2004. This stop is the junction for lines 5 & 7 which branch left just past the tunnel while 8 and 10 run down the right-hand tracks. |
