Brno tram system runs on standard gauge tracks and there are 13 routes
numbered between 1 & 13. All cars in service are Tatras or Škodas
built by CKD.
1737 is a 1990 built Tatra KT8D5 (serial number 178353) 8-axle articulated tram which was modernized in 2002 and re-classified to type KT8D5R.N2. It is bi-directional and has a low floor centre section. Top speed is 65 km/h, 40 mph. It was originally number 519 in the fleet of Kosice in Slovakia and was acquired by Brno in February 2003. KT8D5R.N2 number 1737 on line 8 at Beloruská on Sunday October 3rd, 2004. |
