Brno tram system runs on standard gauge tracks and there are 13 routes
numbered between 1 & 13. All cars in service are Tatras or Škodas
built by CKD.
1736 is a 1990 built Tatra KT8D5 8-axle articulated tram which was modernized in 2002 and re-classified to type KT8D5R. It is bi-directional and retains conventional high floors in all 3 sections. Top speed is 65 km/h, 40 mph. It was originally number 518 in the fleet of Kosice in Slovakia. KT8D5R number 1736 on line 8 near the Krematorium on Sunday October 3rd, 2004. |
