Brno tram system runs on standard gauge tracks and there are 13 routes
numbered between 1 & 13. All cars in service are Tatras or Škodas built by CKD.
1728 is a 1993 built Tatra KT8D5 (serial number 179616) 8-axle articulated tram. It is bi-directional and is one of the later versions with a low-floor in the centre section. It was modified in 2001 to KT8D5SU standards. Top speed is 65 km/h, 40 mph. KT8D5SU number 1728 in ul. Křenová on line 8 is about to pass under the railway near the hlavná nádraži on Saturday October 2nd, 2004. |
