Berlin has 9 subway lines numbered U1 to U9 with U55 under construction. The lines are standard gauge.
1079-4 was modified in 2006 from GI/1 type 342 built by LEW in 1988. The original cars were designed to operate in pairs with each car individually numbered. The modified sets operate as 4-cars trains with -1 to -4 added to the set number. GI/1E number 1079-4 arrives at U-Olympia-Stadion on Tuesday April 24th, 2007. |
