Linz has an extensive trolleybus service. Link
to the Linz Public Transport Network. In 1998, Linz ordered a fleet of
3 axle, low-floor articulated trolleybuses from Volvo of Poland. They are
classified as model B7LA and have 47 seats and room for 92 standees. They
collect 600 volt DC from the overhead and are rated at 172 kW (230hp) for continuous
operation to produce a top speed of 70 km/h, 44 mph.
Volvo B7LA number 214 has reached the end point of service 45 at the Hauptbahnhof and will soon be turning around to retrace its route. Photo taken on a rainy Wednesday September 25th, 2002.. |
