The tram network of Graz consists of 7 routes numbered 1, 3 through 8. The
system is standard gauge and runs on 600 volts. Tram 603 is one of 12
(601-612) trams built by SGP in 1986 and modified in 1999 by the addition
of a low floor centre section built by Bombardier Wien. The modified
8-axle trams seat 40 passengers and are rated at 300 kW, 402 hp with a top
speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph. The leading and trailing bogies have all powered
axles. Tram 603 heads east along Eggenberger Straße with a #1 service to Mariatrost on a wet overcast Wednesday October 22nd, 2003. |
