ÖBB 1063 Electric Locomotive. The class was introduced in 1982 for shunting and trip-freight
working with a rating of 1520 kW, 2040 hp and a top speed of 80 km/h, 50 mph.
The first 37 locos are dual voltage ( 15,000 & 25,000 Volts A.C.) to
allow them to work into yards in neighbouring countries. 1063 014-3 was built by SGP in Graz (serial number 78949) in 1986. 1063 014-3 shunting at Wörgl on Monday April 26th, 2004. Photographed from OEC164 which explains the slight window reflections. |
