ÖBB 1042 Electric Locomotive. Class 1042 were built from 1963 until 1977. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at 3260 kW, 4370 hp and have a top speed of 130 km/h, 80 mph. They weigh 84 metric tonnes, 92.6 US tons.
This loco was built by SGP in Floridsdorf with Elin electrical gear in June 1963 (works number 18191) as 1042.05 and was later numbered 1042 005.7. This locomotive still carries the old style pantographs.
