ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at 4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric tonnes.
This locomotive was built by SGP in Graz in April 1977 (serial number 72821) with BBC electrics and numbered 1042.693. It was converted in September 1998 to class 1142 and renumbered 1142 693-9.
