ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. 1142 673-1 was built by SGP in Graz (serial number 72287) with electrics by Elin in June 1976 as 1042.673. It was converted to class 1142 between July & September 1999. 1142 673-1 arrives in platform 3 at St Pölten Hauptbahnhof with train R2028 to Amstetten on Thursday May 15th, 2003. |
