ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. 1142 659-0 was built by SGP in Graz (serial number 71134) in November 1975 as 1042.659. Between April & May 1996 it was modified to class 1142. 1142 659-0 arrives in platform 2 at St Pölten Hauptbahnhof with train E1702 (semi-fast to Amstetten) on Thursday May 15th, 2004. |
