ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. This locomotive was built by SGP in Graz with Siemens electrical components in August 1975 as 1042.653, later becoming 1042 653-4. In December 1995 it became 1142 653-3 after being modified for push-pull working. 1142 653-3 in platform 11 at Wien Süd with train R2871(14:12 to Weiner Neustadt) on Wednesday April 28th, 2004. |
