ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. 1142 634-3 waits in platform 15 at Salzburg Hbf with train #R5018 (13:18 to Schwarzach-St. Viet) on Friday September 21st, 2001. Taurus 1016 049-7 double-heads a class 1044 with a freight in the adjacent yard. |
