Austrian Electric 1142 605-3 at Innsbruck

1142 605-3 arrives in platform 1 at Innsbruck Hbf with train R5337

ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by fitting of push-pull equipment and raising the maximum speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at 4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric tonnes.
This locomotive was built by SGP in Graz with electrics by BBC (serial number 69908) in December 1972 and was numbered 1042.605, becoming 1042 605-4 until rebuilt to class 1142 in May 1996 when it was renumbered to 1142 605-3.

Thursday morning September 20^th, 2001.
1142 605-3 arrives in platform 1 at Innsbruck Hbf with train R5337 (11:42 from Ötztal) at 12:30. Earlier that morning I had photographed the loco at Kufstein with train R5109 (09:04 stopping train to Innsbruck) which means it must have worked train R5328 (10:45 Innsbruck-Ötztal) in order to return with R5337.
