ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. This loco was built by Simmering-Graz-Pauker in Graz (builder's number 69898) with electrical equipment from Elin. It entered service in August 1972 numbered 1042.595 and in November 1999 it was rebuilt to class 1142. 1142 595-6 arrives at platform 4 at St Pölten Hbf with train R2021 (12:38 Amstetten-Wien Westbahnhof) on Thursday May 15th, 2003. |
